Remember how I told you the most random things happen to me???? Well I was going to do my first blog about "following your dreams" and "being who you want to be" BUT on my quest -of looking up blogs, I found my Grandfather in one. My Grandfather, Walter Szot won three football letters at Bucknell and played for five years in the National Football League (NFL) with the Chicago Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. He even won the “Superbowl,” which back then was called the world championship, with the Chicago Cardinals.

My family never mentioned much of this to me until I did my heritage project going into high school. Although it is great fun to find out stuff about your ancestors, it would be nice if your parents told you about them (that’s all I am going to say about that)

Ok so on the random side….. I find this blog mentioning my grandfather (http://steelers.typepad.com/my_weblog/2006/08/whats_in_a_name.html) and someone also had replied to the article also asking for more information about him. Well I sent all this information I had about him to the person. Well I find out that it was my uncle who asked the question to the blog lol….. who would of thought. Now he is getting this e-mail from me telling him all about my granfather..... who he already knows about lol

Another thing that I found out during my school heritage project was that my great grandfather invented the “duck tube” I NEVER KNEW THAT!!!

My great grandfather is the man at the bottom. (mother’s side of the fam)

So the Life lesson of today is: Check out your family history because it may lead you to some fricken awesome stuff about your ancestors. ALSO follow your dreams and become something amazingly cool because you never know if in the future, if your great great great grandchild is trying to find out something about you.

Inspire your grandchildren who are yet to come!
